Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to understand αClinic from this site, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the scroll animations, particle brain and moving characters are replaced with still versions.
- Text drawn into animations is also available as real text for screen readers.
- Characters and decorative illustrations are hidden from screen readers, so they don't get in the way.
- Every interactive control can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Colours are never the only way information is shown: each one has a label.
What we know isn't perfect yet
- Parts of the page are driven by scrolling. While the α Intelligence animation finishes, scrolling down is briefly held for a few seconds; scrolling up always works.
- Some small labels in the illustrations are below the contrast we aim for, because they are decorative.
We're working on these and will update this page as we go.
